Award-Winning Olive Oils

ARGALI SUPERIOR ORGANIC EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

(KORONEIKI VARIETY)

500ml bottle

  • Argali is a young company that wants to share with their superior organic olive oil with the world. With 200 olive trees their olive grove no fertilizers, pesticides or weed killers are used whatsoever. The soil is fertilised with olive leaves retrieved from the olive mill and the olive trees are not watered.

  • The olive trees of the Koroneiki variety are perfectly adapted to the dry climate and rocky terrain. The fruits are very small, black and green and are very dense clusters on the branches. While the usual olive oil yield is approximately 10 liters per tree, for Argali cultivation the trees produce only 2 to 5 liters of the purest green extra virgin olive oil. Deliberately sacrificing quantity to produce the best quality oil with a very light ecological footprint.

  • Harvested in November and December by hand. The olives are pressed within 12 hours of harvesting to ensure very low acidity. Pressing takes place at 27 degrees Celsius so that the oil maintains its aroma and a large amount of polyphenols (natural antioxidants).

  • Tasting intensity: Medium. Tasting characteristics: The sample of green color tending to yellow, opens to the nose with fruity green of medium intensity accompanied by vegetal notes of freshly cut grass, aromatic herbs, thistle and sweet spices. In the mouth, the tones of bitter more intense and the spicier more moderate, but well evident are further refined by hints of green almond green. Good fluidity and harmony.

  • Multiple Gold Award winner in international competitions, including prestigious best in class awards.
